Similarities
Use student groups that finish early to help others
Have students talk to each other to help them learn the information
Differences
Fearful of doing group work because of technology problems, differing ability levels, classroom management, etc...
Only 1 facilitator/monitor in regular classroom
Question 2: How did this experience make you feel as a student?
More accountable
All had to contribute
Confused at times
Collaboration was encouraged
Some did not follow directions-teachers are just like students

Concerns
Classroom management with very large classes
Different ablility levels
Technology problems
Having to have a backup plan is a lot of extra work and waste of paper
Solutions
Give students a structure that allows them to be social
Take baby steps with technology and group work
Don't panic--Don't let students see you sweat!
Teach students to troubleshoot computer problems
LEARN NC module Getting Started 1:1 (classroom management, copyright, etc...)
Establish a working relationship with the TF, MC, or technician
